A man gained attention on social media after sharing a video in which he reveals a secret trick to start a car using the key fob.
Dom Giovanni, who posts automotive tips on TikTok, uploaded a clip to prove that this trick not only works, but works on a variety of vehicles from different brands.
“Actually, your car has a hidden ‘remote start’ function,” Giovanni explained in the post, right before testing it on a Porsche.
In the video, he unlocks the car with the key fob, then presses the lock button twice and holds it on the second press.
As shown, the Porsche started after the trick. Giovanni then went on to demonstrate how the strategy also works with a Mazda and a Mercedes.
His video has already racked up over 16 million views, along with thousands of comments from viewers amazed by the trick.
